Lay Hong Bird Flu To Test Support

Here are some of the news flying in the air on Layhong (9385). The feathers are all over the place on this poultry-frozen food player in the last month. Share price has taken a terrible hammering. I posted this the previous week suggesting that a better time to buy is if (or when) management emerges to calm investors nerves.  So far, the bigge...

Yong Tai Fast Forward Accelerator

Drat! Only just noticed this proposal by Yong Tai (7066) as a result of the price fall. A bit of delayed reaction as the news was released on the 1st evening.  Quite a no brainer ..... acceleration in the conversion period from November 2019 to 2018 year end (target) is a earnings dilution impact. An immediate Sell. Although not something which ...

Apple MAGA Apples

I still sit on my Apple (AAPL) position, a 2009 position. Took the simple view based on how much I love my iPhone. Not that I wasn't made aware of the slew and continuous cyber attacks on and suggesting that Apple was rotting (peaked). In one of my older posts in 2016, two great investors passed by each other as one exited (Carl Icahn) while War...

JAKS Two Days Relief?

JAKS (4723) has gone 2 days without a declaration by KYY on the status of his holdings. His last report on the disposal of shares from his many broker margin accounts was on Tuesday (31st).  First, a quick take on the buying selling tussle this week. The most severe selling happened between 24th and 30th. Price falling in uninterrupted fashion ...

JAKS A Slight Upwards Bias In Undertone

In total KYY have sold 18.35m JAKS (4723) shares since 20th of this month. We have still not seen a U-turn in the one sided transaction as he scrambles to arrest the decline of his biggest position. So far, he is at the complete mercy of the lenders.  In my earlier post, I reckon there was a RM30m margin top up. If the transactions have an VWAP ...

JAKS Calling The U-Turn

JAKS (4723) - this was Friday's post on when to catch this falling knife.  Below are the different days of the force selling by the brokers where KYY secured margin financing for his big play into JAKS. The ones that sold last week were Maybank, Alliance, TA and Hong Leong. Off the top of my head, I recall seeing the other facilities with Kenan...

LCTitan Spot On

Wow .... what perfect timing. What a dream set of numbers.  Given the slight kick up in price earlier in the morning to RM5.21 where it settled, I must say that the price action was disappointing. But on the other hand, it suggests that the numbers were kept under wraps - opening up the possibility of a good opening for the second session.

AirAsia Behavioural Investing

Here is a collage of my last 4 posts on AirAsia (5099) starting a week after May 9. In each and every one of the posts, I relied not on numbers but just good old common sense. Cognitive biases affect us all in so many forms and ways in investing.  GE 14 played havoc on the minds of investors as the hyped up witch hunt for begun. AirAsia, amongst...

PMetal Recovery Picks Up Pace

PMetal (8869) broke the one dime overhead cloud resistance I mentioned last week.   Immediate target is RM4.77 with RM5.00 next

LCTitan Guessing Game

LCTitan's (5284) 2Q earnings numbers if it follows last year's reporting right to the T will be out today. Getting the guesstimate numbers correct  - if it surprises to the upside - could mean a small tidy and profitable trade. T1 or T2.  Amongst the key upside/down risks variables analysts generally look out for as part of their discourse on b...
